Shipping policy
Thank you for shopping with Hardly Common. We take care in every order — here is what to expect.
Processing Time
In-stock pieces are inspected, hand-finished, and shipped from our Ontario atelier within 3–5 business days of order confirmation. Orders placed on weekends or Canadian statutory holidays are processed the next business day.
Atelier Commission & Pre-Order Pieces
Atelier Commission and Pre-order pieces are made to order and hand-knotted to your specifications. Production typically takes 4–8 weeks from order confirmation, depending on pearl sourcing and length. We will email you a production update once your piece is in progress, and again with tracking once it ships.
Shipping Methods & Delivery Times
All orders ship via fully insured, signature-required courier service. Timeframes below are estimates from the date your order leaves our atelier:
- Canada: 2–5 business days (complimentary on orders over CAD $250)
- United States: 3–7 business days
- International: 7–14 business days, depending on destination and customs clearance
Rates and any available expedited options are calculated at checkout based on your destination.
Tracking
You will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number as soon as your order leaves our atelier. If you have not received tracking within the processing window above, please check your spam folder, then contact us at hardlycommonofficial@gmail.com.
Customs, Duties & Taxes (International)
International orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, and customs fees levied by the destination country. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in the price at checkout or in the shipping cost. We are unable to predict these amounts in advance — please contact your local customs office for more information.
Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Packages
Every Hardly Common shipment is fully insured and requires a signature on delivery. If your package arrives damaged, please refuse the delivery if possible, photograph the packaging, and contact us within 48 hours of delivery. If your tracking shows delivered but you have not received the parcel, please contact us immediately so we can open a claim with the carrier.
Address Changes
Once an order has been processed, we are unable to redirect it. Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. If you spot an error, contact us at hardlycommonofficial@gmail.com within 12 hours of placing the order and we will do our best to update it before shipment.
